Blue Chip Talent , in partnership with a high-volume manufacturing organization, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Area Supervisor. This role is responsible for overseeing skilled trades personnel, driving equipment reliability initiatives, and supporting continuous improvement within a unionized plant environment.

Job Duties :

  • Lead and coordinate preventive and reactive maintenance activities to meet production targets
  • Supervise Skilled Trades employees and provide hands-on support across all shifts
  • Coach teams in problem-solving using lean methodologies and corrective action tools
  • Partner with maintenance specialists to resolve equipment downtime, variability, and throughput issues
  • Implement SPW / WCM methodologies such as Autonomous and Professional Maintenance
  • Drive improvements in OEE through data-driven analysis and continuous improvement activities
  • Lead Kaizen events focused on operational efficiency and cost savings
  • Support plant safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale objectives

Skills & Experience

Required :

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of industrial automation experience, including project management
  • Working knowledge of maintenance strategies (TBM, CBM, DM)
  • Experience influencing metrics like MTBF, MTTR, and equipment condition standards
  • Ability to work any shift and perform overtime as needed
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools

    • Desired :

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field
  • Experience leading maintenance teams in unionized environments
  • Familiarity with controls, robotics, drives, sensors, and conveyance systems
  • Background in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or World Class Manufacturing (WCM)
  • Green Belt, Red X, or equivalent CI certifications
  • Experience with Google Suite applications
