A growing civil engineering firm is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to support infrastructure, land development, and transportation projects in the Jacksonville, Florida area. This is a long-term career opportunity offering hands-on experience and mentorship in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities :
Assist in civil engineering design and analysis for roads, drainage systems, and site development projectsPrepare drawings, calculations, and reports under the guidance of senior engineersConduct site visits and inspections as neededUse AutoCAD and Civil 3D for project drafting and modelingPerform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using PondPack, StormCAD, and / or ICPR4Assist with feasibility studies, data collection, and cost estimatingEnsure design compliance with local codes, regulations, and safety standardsSupport the engineering team with coordination and documentation tasks
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringFamiliarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3DAbility to pass a basic CAD testStrong attention to detail and communication skills
Preferred :
EIT certification or working toward itExperience with hydrologic and hydraulic software (PondPack, StormCAD, ICPR4)Understanding of local engineering standardsPosition Details :
Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PMLocation : Onsite in Jacksonville, FL (not remote or hybrid)Overtime : Expected and paid at 1.5x rateJob Type : Contract-to-Direct Hire (FTE conversion after ~ 6-months) | Direct Hire also consideredBackground Check : Required (7 years)Drug Screen : RequiredSponsorship : Not availableDress Code : Business Casual
