About The Position

Pay Rate : $30.00 - $34.00 / Hourly.

Summary : The Occupational Therapy Assistant supports the Occupational Therapist (OTR) in providing rehabilitative services to residents in a long-term care setting. The OTA / COTA helps residents improve functional abilities, maintain independence, and enhance quality of life through therapeutic activities, exercises, and interventions tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities :

• Performing clerical tasks such as answering telephones and scheduling appointments.
• Collecting, assessing, and recording required patient information such as medical history.
• Implementing treatment plans and helping patients perform therapeutic activities.
• Instructing patients and their families in the skills and techniques of a treatment program.
• Monitoring patients' performance and providing encouragement.
