Job Position Description :

Community Action is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Career Coach to join our team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed employment services to diverse individuals and families, including those identifying as LGBTQ+ and other non-traditional structures. If you are passionate about helping people build skills, find stable employment, and increase their well-being, this is an incredible opportunity to make a lasting impact.

Abbreviated Duties List :

• Provide comprehensive career coaching from initial assessment and goal setting to job coaching, soft skills development, and job retention services.
• Promote self-advocacy and provide co-advocacy for individuals to succeed in training and employment goals.
• Develop trust-based relationships with clients, maintaining professional and positive boundaries while working effectively with diverse social, economic, cultural, and racial backgrounds, as well as people with disabilities.
• Connect clients with essential support services (like transportation, financial literacy, and housing stability) and maintain current information on community resources.
• Work effectively with partners like Portland Community College, WorkSource, and other training providers.
• Ensure timely and accurate data entry in systems like HMIS and WorkSource, tracking and reporting outcomes related to self-sufficiency.
