Job Title : Warehouse LeadJob Description

This position operates during the first shift from 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM, Monday through Friday. The role involves leading daily transactional activities within the warehouse manufacturing and repackaging environments. The Warehouse Lead is responsible for mentoring and training clerks, managing transactional priorities, and ensuring the execution of general manufacturing duties such as pouring, blending, mixing, packaging, testing, labeling, and inventory control.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and train clerks within the manufacturing and repackaging environment on daily activities and specific functions.
  • Inspect raw materials received from the warehouse against work orders.
  • Review work order instructions and associated Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to ensure adherence to specified ratios, parameters, and material handling and PPE.
  • Prepare and package finished goods as per work order instructions, ensuring accurate measurement of component weights.
  • Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner.
  • Support and assist other team members as appropriate.
  • Tear down, clean, and return equipment used upon completion of the work order.
  • Follow all company procedures and policies, prioritizing safety.
  • Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions to support the Quality Management System (QMS).

  • Proven time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and targets.
  • Ability to weigh and measure raw materials and work order components, understanding tare weight versus net weight.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
  • Ability to safely use equipment designed to move material, including dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in warehouse operations or a related field.
  • Valid forklift operator license or training certification.
  • Experience with hazmat shipping is required for certain roles.

    Work Environment

    The role operates in a warehouse environment that can become hot during the summer months. Employees are required to wear steel-toed shoes and protective clothing when handling chemicals. The position involves standing, stooping, bending, and reaching, with the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00 / hr.
