Job purpose

BorgWarner Drivetrain and Morse Systems is currently looking for a talented individual to join as a Mechanical Engineering Co-op Engine Solenoids at our Powertrain Technical Center Auburn Hills MI.

This position would start in January 2026 and end in August 2026. A typical student in this program works 30-40 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Assists in design development and validation of new products
• Works with product engineers to support prototype builds with documentation and data processing
• Works with CAD designers or individually to develop tooling used for assembly performance and validation testing
• Gathers benchmarking data (performance design manufacturing strategy) of competitors products and documents with reports
• Assists test engineers in managing test plans setting up durability tests and writing reports

This individual will work in manners that stress the importance of preventing accidents and illnesses. He / she must take every precaution reasonable in the given circumstance for the protection of themselves and addition he / she is responsible for reporting all injuries and / or possible dangerous situations incidents or occurrences to the immediate supervisor.
