Role Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Operating Room Nurse for our ambulatory surgery center. You will exemplify our values by treating patients like family. Your clinical expertise will be vital in either the circulating or scrub role, ensuring patient safety and effective care until they are transferred to recovery.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and oversee instrument and equipment set-up for operations, anticipating the needs of the surgeon.Act as the primary coordinator of care during surgical procedures.Ensure smooth transitions between surgical cases.Use appropriate body mechanics for patient movement to avoid injury.Manage patient care and medications, including assisting with anesthesia.Maintain comprehensive and accurate charts according to documentation protocols.Qualifications Required
Graduate from an accredited nursing program.At least 1 year of experience in an operating room, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.Active RN license as required by your state of employment.Valid BCLS Certification upon employment.ACLS certification as needed by facility standards.CNOR certification is preferred.Join us at the Medical City Orthopedic and Spine Center, where we provide top-tier care in a state-of-the-art facility.
