Job Summary :

The Medical Assistant (MA) provides support to physicians and other healthcare professionals by performing clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient care delivery. The MA works closely with patients handling both front- and back-office functions in a fast-paced medical setting. The Medical Assistant functions under the direction of the Nurse Supervisor and / or Practice / Office Manager. Key responsibilities of the role include gathering and recording vital signs and other pertinent patient information for the visit preparing patients for exams assisting during treatments coordinating tests and follow-up care and recording treatment in the medical record. The MA recognizes patients needs and symptoms in advance and responds appropriately always keeping patient safety and the patient experience at the center of care delivery. The MA demonstrates competency and skills to serve patients of all ages.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions :

Clinical Duties and ExpectationsProvides relationship-based patient centered care that is consistent with population specific characteristics (e.g. age gender disease etc.) in a manner that adapts service delivery to reflect an understanding of cultural with the patient and significant others and / or family (as appropriate); keeping the patient at ease in the office through a collaborative and communicative approach to all care patient for the visit with the physicians / rooms and equipment and aids physicians / APPs with treatment of out orders generated from the office visit. Required Minimum Education :

• High School Diploma General or GED General or Other / Certificate Medical Assisting

Current certification from one of the following medical assisting credentialing bodies : AAMA (CMA) AMT (RMA) NHA (CCMA) NCCT (NCMA) NAHP (NRCMA) Upon Hire Required

Required Minimum Experience :
