IP Patent Prosecution Associate - ATLANTA, BOSTON, NEW YORK, PITTSBURGH, SAN DIEGO, SILICON VALLEY

Jones Day is seeking talented individuals to join our Intellectual Property (IP) patent prosecution group as IP Patent Prosecution Associates in Biological Sciences, Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, Organic Chemistry, and Bioinformatics & Computational Biology.

Required Qualifications :

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, or a related field (required). Highly qualified candidates with an M.S. and several years of industry research experience may be considered.
• Must be registered to practice before the USPTO with a valid registration number and in good standing (required).
• Must be admitted to local state bar and in good standing (required).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts into clear legal documents.
• Minimum of one (1) year of prior law firm or in-house patent prosecution experience in biotechnology is strongly preferred.

Expected Salary Range (Boston, CA and NYC) : $225,000 - $495,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
