Nights, 8 and 12-hour shifts, every third weekend rotation, and holiday rotation.
Sign-On Bonus : $15,000 for 3rd Shift

Unit Overview :
Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit , where you'll care for a diverse and complex patient population, including :
Post-operative craniotomies for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resections.Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.Hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke patients as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program .A high volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients, along with medical overflow cases .As part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) , our unit offers exposure to the latest neurosurgical techniques and cutting-edge care.

Deliver and coordinate comprehensive, evidence-based patient care utilizing the nursing process.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, therapeutic, and compassionate care.Apply clinical judgment and critical thinking to support optimal patient outcomes.Contribute positively to the patient experience across the continuum of care.Why Join Us?

Utilize the nursing process to assess patient needs, planning and implementing individualized interventions.Anticipate and recognize significant changes in patient condition and act accordingly.Implement strategies to enhance patient safety and meet learning needs.Coordinate discharge plans using an interdisciplinary approach, applying evidence-based practices.Evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking appropriate actions when necessary.Demonstrate effective communication and foster collaboration among the healthcare team.Promote a culture of safety and participate in corrective action implementation.Engage in decision-making and professional development activities.Ensure care is appropriate to the patient's age and developmental stage.Licensure, Registration, and / or Certification Required :
Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).Education Required :
Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.Experience Required :
Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :
Progression in providing holistic patient care and recognizing situational changes.Proficient computer skills and excellent communication abilities.Strong interpersonal skills for building rapport with patients and team members.Critical decision-making abilities and strong organization skills.Proficient in time management and collaborative skills.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :
Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach, and twist frequently.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs from the floor to waist and carry up to 40 lbs.Must be able to push / pull with 30 lbs of force and assist with sliding transfers.Exposure to chemicals, hazardous waste, and infectious materials, requiring personal protective equipment.Functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch are essential.This job description provides a general overview of the responsibilities and expectations of the role and is not exhaustive.
