Outpatient RN Job Details

Location : Mooresville, NC 28117 (Lake Norman region)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse, On-Site

Start Date : January 12, 2026

End Date : April 13, 2026

Duration : 13-week nursing contract

Schedule : Monday-Thursday 7 : 30am-5 : 00pm (4x9.5-hour shifts), Friday 8 : 00am-12 : 00pm (1x4-hour shift)

Hours per Week : 40

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1800-$1840

Patient Ratio : 1 : 5

Setting : Outpatient Clinic (Internal Medicine)

Floating : May float to 5 additional office sites within 15 minutes in Mooresville

Scrubs : Royal blue

Orientation : Bi-weekly

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active NC or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license

Minimum 1 year of RN experience (first-time travel nurses welcome)

Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)

Experience with Epic EMR charting system

Flu vaccine required (no exemptions or declinations accepted)

1 supervisory reference within the last year

Excellent communication and patient education skills

Outpatient RN Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care to adults, adolescents, and pediatric patients in an outpatient clinic setting

Perform patient assessments, obtain vital signs, administer medications (IM, subcutaneous, nebulizer treatments, oxygen), and assist with clinical procedures (venipuncture, EKG / ECG, suture removal, immunizations, pap smears)

Provide patient teaching, medication reconciliation, and follow-up phone calls

Document all care accurately using Epic EMR

Coordinate referrals, schedule appointments, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team

Float to additional Mooresville office sites as needed

Maintain universal precautions and infection control standards
