Medication Aide

Department : Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, or Memory Care

Schedule : Full-Time, Nights (will include rotating weekends & holidays); 12 hour shifts

Facility : Providence Village

Location : Waco, TX

Salary : $16.90 - $22.52 per hour

Responsibilities

Administer prescribed medications to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical / Vocational Nurse (LPN) / (LVN) and maintain related medical records.

• Present medication to patient and observe ingestion or administer medication using specified procedures.
• Take vital signs or observe patient to detect response to medication, and report reactions.
• Restock medication inventories.
• May provide direct patient care. Assure resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations and initiate corrective action as appropriate.
