SOCIAL SCIENCE ANALYST

Job Title

Help provide training and supervision to students at NDACS (Navy Drug and Alcohol Counselor School) and assist in the development, evaluation, and revision of the NDACS curriculum. Manage the Clinical Preceptorship Program (CPP) contract. Train select personnel as drug and alcohol counselor interns. Serve as the Board Administrator of the U.S. Navy Certification Board (USBCB). Liaison with the Contracting Officer and the principal contractor. Maintain the certification database for all SARP Counselors including command, location, and certification dates.

Requirements

Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. You will be required to possess and maintain a valid current International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium (ICRC) Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ADC) and Clinical Supervisor (CS) credentials. You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and / or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following :

• Experience functioning as a member of an instructional team providing didactic and experiential instruction in the training of substance abuse / dependence counseling interns.
• Experience serving as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) providing contract surveillance, administration, evaluation, and management of contract.
• Experience maintaining all contract correspondence such as drafts, monthly reports on program performance, and a variety of narrative a tabular material.
• Experience administering Navy Drug and Alcohol Counselor Program credentials for all Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard military and civilian alcohol and drug abuse counselors.
