About the Position
The Superintendent will be responsible for managing field operations for commercial concrete and masonry projects throughout the Newark area. This hands-on leader will oversee daily jobsite activities, ensure crews work safely and efficiently, coordinate materials and equipment, and maintain strong communication with project management and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and supervise daily field operations for concrete and masonry projects.
- Coordinate onsite workflow, manpower, equipment, and material needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, union requirements, and company policies.
- Read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Work closely with Project Managers to maintain schedules and meet deadlines.
- Communicate with owners, general contractors, inspectors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
- Monitor jobsite progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions.
- Oversee subcontractors and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Document daily activities and maintain accurate field reports.
Requirements
5+years of field leadership experience in commercial concrete or masonry construction.Familiarity with union crews or willingness to work in a union environment.Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical construction documents.Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Proven ability to manage crews, coordinate resources, and maintain project timelines.Commitment to safety, quality, and operational efficiency.Knowledge of structural concrete, formwork, flatwork, foundations, and related scopes.Benefits
