Job Summary :
This position reports to the Arizona Department Health Services / Arizona State Hospital (ADHS / ASH) Deputy Chief Human Resources Officer and is responsible for independent and professional personnel work of considerable difficulty providing written / verbal communication, weekly and monthly reporting, compiling statistical information regarding HR Measures, customer service to employees, and drafting professional correspondence to employees regarding HR circumstances. Assist as back up. reviews HR processes and work flow and recommends process improvement steps to the Deputy Chief Human Resources Officer. Assists with special projects as assigned.
Job Duties :
Professional level work in written / verbal communication, weekly and monthly reporting, compiling statistical information regarding HR Measures, prepare and provide ad-hoc HR writer / data warehouse reports to HR management, budget or leadership when requested, customer service to employees, and crafting professional correspondence to employees regarding HR circumstances. May function as a team lead. Direct responsibilities in creating, updating and auditing the HR compliance files, competencies, and in turn participating in audits regarding Licensure and the Joint Commission. Ensures all verification of certifications, licensing, and job specific requirements are placed in the employees HR compliance files.
Conducts fingerprinting, fulfilling the fingerprint process, tracking, and monitoring approvals and denials. Conducts bi-monthly reviews of the AS EDRA portal and completing the AS EDRA process when elements of attention arise. This position supports HR functions such as completing and processing personnel action forms for separations (ASH), processing overtime compensation forms.
The position assists (ASH) employees with FMLA, LTD, STD, and retirement questions. Conducting new employee orientation (ASH), compiling new employee orientation packets / paperwork to include benefits paperwork and answering benefit related questions.
Assist employee relations with gathering information needed to conduct performance related issues, review and draft letters of expectations with oversight and review by management. Conducts employment verification, provides guidance for employees with HR related matters.
Assists with the ADHS HR office operations as needed.

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or closely related field and two years experience as an Intermediate Human Resources Analyst or equivalent experience. Relevant HR Certification. OR Any combination of training and experience that meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Retirement :
