Physical Therapist Assistant

Position Overview

A skilled Physical Therapy Assistant is needed for a 13-week contract within a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting. This role includes a guaranteed 30 hours per week and offers an opportunity to support patients in regaining strength, mobility, and independence under the direction of licensed physical therapists.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist.

Provide therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and mobility training.

Document patient progress accurately and timely in accordance with facility protocols.

Communicate effectively with the care team to support patient goals and outcomes.

Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive therapeutic environment.

Requirements

Active California PTA license (must be current and in good standing).

Minimum Experience : 1 year preferred.

Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is highly beneficial.

Strong communication, organizational, and patient-care skills.

Ability to work a flexible schedule as required by the facility.

Duration : 13 weeks

Schedule : Variable shifts; 30 hours / week guaranteed
