Merchandising Assistant
This position works closely with the Operating Company (OpCo) departments. Assist the merchandising department with transactional activities where needed. Aid in supporting OpCo sales by addressing and resolving questions and requests on time utilizing detailed knowledge of products, systems, and tools. Acts as liaison between OpCo Sales, Buyers, and Category Management as it relates to Merchandising activities.
Responsibilities include being a merchandising point of contact for sales, national accounts, and health care account inquiries; communicating urgent updates to sales; tracking and tracing special orders; assisting sales on basic inquiries; monitoring the drop ship process; processing special orders; handling demand status orders; managing new item stocking requests; creating and maintaining proprietary charting; processing all merchandising related scripts; and handling overflow sales support.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience, 1+ years' experience in purchasing, merchandising, sales, or customer service, strong communication and relationship-building skills, excellent organization and time management skills, ability to resolve conflicts quickly, proficiency in Excel, and attention to detail.
