Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team in Bristol, CT. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. You will leverage your expertise in quality inspection, continuous improvement, and various quality management systems to enhance our processes and products. Responsibilities
- Conduct quality inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 standards.
- Utilize GD&T principles to evaluate and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for quality control processes.
- Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) to validate measurement systems.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the PPAP process to ensure all necessary documentation is completed and accurate.
- Conduct mechanical testing and analysis to verify product performance and reliability.
- Program and maintain machine vision systems, specifically using Keyence technology.
- Utilize ERP and quality control software to track and report quality metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications
Proven experience in quality inspection and assurance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and mechanical testing methodologies.Experience with ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 certification processes.Familiarity with Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and the PPAP process.Proficient in developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Hands-on experience with programming machine vision systems, particularly Keyence.Strong analytical skills and a continuous improvement mindset.Experience with ERP and quality control software.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.A degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.You should be proficient in :
