We are immediately hiring a Safety Specialist to support our Safety, DOT, and Regulatory Compliance programs across multiple regions. This role is critical to maintaining our culture of safety and ensuring that our policies and practices are consistently followed at every level of the business.

What you’ll do :
As a Safety Specialist, you will partner with regional leadership and employees to ensure compliance with Mobile Air & Power Rentals’ safety, fleet, and DOT programs. You’ll serve as both a trainer and a coach, helping reinforce safe practices across all operations.
Your responsibilities will include :
Managing and supporting MAPR’s Safety Program, including weekly toolbox talks, monthly required training, new hire onboarding, Safety KPIs, MSHA training, and incident / accident investigations.Guiding Regional General Managers and Service Managers in meeting compliance expectations for DOT drivers, daily inspections, hours of service reporting, and physical renewals.Maintaining Driver Qualification files through our third-party system, including medical cards, MVRs, road tests, and onboarding documentation.Overseeing safety training (virtual or in-person) in assigned regions.Leading accident and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions.Coordinating the installation and management of telematics devices and monitoring safe driving performance through our telematics system.Reviewing driver status for compliance with safe driving standards and recommending corrective actions as needed.Maintaining third-party safety platforms that track KPIs and customer compliance requirements.Supporting environmental compliance efforts in partnership with the VP of Operations and Safety Manager.What we’re looking for :
Associate degree or equivalent experience required.Minimum 3 years’ experience in a safety-related role; 2+ years of DOT regulatory experience preferred.Experience with environmental and regulatory compliance standards.Strong computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, ERP systems, email, and internet).Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coach, train, and influence employees at all levels.A positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to take ownership of tasks.Ability to travel up to 35%.Work Schedule :
This position may require occasional evening or weekend work, depending on training needs, investigations, or urgent compliance matters. Regular travel within assigned regions is expected (up to 35%).
