Python Backend Developer (6-Month Contract) Austin, TX

Were seeking an experienced Python Developer to join a fast-paced gaming technology team on a 6-month contract in Austin, TX . The successful candidate will work on backend systems that power large-scale, high-performance gaming platforms.

Contract Details :

  • Duration : 6 months (potential for extension)
  • Location : Austin, TX (hybrid 2 days a week)
  • Rate : 50-60 / hr w2
  • Industry : Casino gaming and entertainment technology

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend, DevOps, and game engineers.
  • Optimize APIs and data pipelines for performance and reliability.
  • Contribute to code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical documentation.

    • Required Skills :

  • 4+ years of professional experience in backend development with Python (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, or Django).
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservice architecture.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
