Job Description
Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking a motivated Buyer for an opportunity with our client, a global manufacturing organization located in the heart of the Triad. The Buyer should have a Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain studies and / or at least 3 years of experience in Inventory Management, Production Planning, or Purchasing. Starting pay is negotiable based on experience.
- Wages : $24-$45 per hour
- Shift : Monday - Friday - Business Hours

Responsibilities for Buyer :
The Operational Buyer will manage and support operations by obtaining goods and / or services required by the organization like :
Indirect Operations (e.g., Office Supplies, Computers, Travel, Maintenance, Machine Parts, etc.)Direct Operations (e.g., Raw Materials and Services for Manufacturing, Production or Construction; Products for Retail, etc.)Procurement processes include : Product / Service Sourcing -Supplier Selection and continuously challenging the suppliersEvaluate suppliers and establish new supplier relationshipsLead and negotiate sourcing activitiesIssue RFQ's, negotiate on costs and ensure contracts are fulfilledSupport departments with changing procurement needsMonitor changes in the market to get updated pricing when necessaryCollaborate with global team on sourcing strategies and needsResponsibilities for Supply Planner :
Maintain parts database to ensure the latest parts information is accurate and available in a timely manner. Perform order handling / expediting functions, and daily parts maintenance such as registering new parts, supersessions, and parts requisitions to purchasing, and loading ship dates.Conduct review of suppliers’ performance and corrective activity plans by means of logistics’, evaluations, statistics, meetings, presentations, and other relevant communication.Resolve internal / external parts discrepancies with distribution centers and suppliers.Serve as a liaison between customer service, product support, and purchasing.Provide effective customer-focused responses in a timely manner to internal / external customers.Prepare, create, and analyze reports and statistics as required.Job Requirements
Requirements for Buyer :
Minimum of 2-5 years of purchasing experienceBachelor's degree in either Supply Chain, Business or other related industry OR Inventory Management, Production Planning, or Purchasing.Ability to work in a team-driven environmentSuperior negotiations skillsStrong math, problem-solving, and analytical skills is required.Ability to develop long-term relationships with vendors and clientsSuperior communication skills both written and verballyPlease attach your resume (MSWord if possible) to submission.
