Responsibilities and Duties :
Provides direct training, supervision and support to students and adults with disabilities enrolled in a SOAR365 Employment Services program.Implements activities using specified training techniques and interventions related to but not limited to developing, maintaining and strengthening employment skills.Assists the Pre ETS-Supervisor in the development of an effective instructional program for 14-22-year-old adults with disabilities in areas of career exploration and planning, workplace readiness, self-advocacy, and community involvement.Provides transportation to students in agency provided vehicle when requiredCoach and motivate students in identifying their career interests and strengths using Photo Voice Work based Learning Opportunities and other career assessment tools.Work with students in building their employment portfolios, which may include a visual, written, or video resume.Provides coaching in actual Work Experiences.Develops and works with businesses in new work experience opportunities for studentsRequirements and Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree required or in process of completing a Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as Rehabilitation Counseling, Special Education, Psychology, Human Services or Social Work.A minimum of three years' experience working with students with disabilities at Transition Age required.Supported / Customized Employment experience a significant plus, job development and / or business-to-business sales a plus.Knowledge of research and evidence-based practice in transition, career development, vocational training, and school to career programming.Ability to implement individualized student and adult employment training plans and lead student and adults to their employment goals.Holds a valid driving license with an acceptable driving record and maintains driving eligibility during the course of employment.EO / AA Veterans / Disabled and other protected categories
