Description

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both structured assessments and observational methodologies.
  • Craft tailored treatment plans focusing on immediate goals and ongoing communication, cognitive, and swallowing requirements.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions that prioritize communication, language enhancement, fluency, voice articulation, and swallowing rehabilitation.
  • Collaborate closely with diverse healthcare professionals-including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members-to devise unified care strategies.
  • Provide education for patients and families to ensure progressive development beyond clinical interactions.
  • Occasionally perform inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, maintaining a seamless continuity of care throughout treatment journeys.
  • Ensure that all documentation is accurate and timely, adhering to all state, federal, and institutional standards.
  • Continuously engage in learning opportunities and collaborate with peers to stay abreast of advancements in the field.

Education

  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those yet to receive ASHA certification.
  • Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
  • A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days post-hire.

  • Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic practices for all age groups, with a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired disorders related to speech, language, and swallowing.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills when interacting with patients, family members, and interdisciplinary teams.

  • Aptitude for exercising clinical judgment and developing effective problem-solving strategies.
