The Details : This is a full-time Monday-Friday role working on-site within the Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, CO. Address is 1375 East 19th Avenue, Denver, CO 80218. Start times between 7 : 00AM-8 : 00AM.

About the Role :

The Anesthesia Coordinator role is to assist locally in the operations of Sound Physicians in providing management services to the Anesthesia program. The Anesthesia Coordinator is responsible for, but not limited to, onsite practice management and daily oversight of administrative responsibility for the Anesthesia program. The Anesthesia Coordinator will have a visible presence and involvement with the entire site team and multiple hospital departments including the Medical Staff Office, as well as community providers and specialty physicians. This position will report to either the Program Manager or Regional Director or VP of Operations. The Anesthesia Coordinator will work closely with the Program Medical Director to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of the program, and is responsible for contributing to improved workflow processes, communications, and standards, as well as onsite initiatives for operational, financial, and clinical performance

In this role, you will be responsible for :

Schedule Coordination

  • Creating and managing the Anesthesia team schedule with site Program Medical Director and staffing coordinator with proactive 3–6-month planning, labor / staffing mix awareness and escalation of critical staffing gaps
  • Driving internal staffing call with Program Medical Director and Staffing coordinator, timely and appropriately follows up on scheduling issues and / or barriers
  • Physician / CRNA Interview and Onboarding Coordination

  • Coordinating onsite physician / CRNA interviews with hospital leadership and following up on hiring recommendations
  • Overseeing coordination of physician / CRNA orientation and facilitates all on boarding requirements
  • Practice and Central Services Coordination

  • Ensuring physicians’ / CRNA’ shifts for payroll with 100% accuracy including proper documentation of shifts worked and documentation of rates as appropriate
  • Serving as a liaison between Sound and Hospital Medical Staff Office, ensuring credentialing and provider enrollment packets are complete and proactively following up on missing documentation
  • Serving as a liaison between Hospital departments and the Anesthesia team. building and maintaining relationships with cross-functional departments across the hospital to provide information and resources as needed
  • Understanding program requests around committee participation and assisting Program Medical Director with ensuring Anesthesia participation
  • Communicating to Anesthesia team key announcements and maintaining important team documents
  • Overseeing partnership with internal Provider Enrollment, Billing, Payroll and Compliance teams
  • Administrative

  • Providing administrative support to Program Medical Director including schedule and special projects
  • Coordinating monthly team meeting including scheduling, agenda, room / material facilitation, and meeting minutes
  • Managing incoming phone calls, faxes, and mail
  • Maintaining a Master team list and hospital

  • Minimum : High School Diploma or GED. Medical Assistant Certification is required

  • Technology competency with electronic software needed for role (i.e., Sound Connect, EMR)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook)

  • Strong written and oral communication skills - the ability to speak, write, and listen clearly and consistently
  • Experience :

  • Minimum : 1-2 years Healthcare customer service and / or 1-2 years’ work in Medical Office staff, Medical Group Management or Hospital setting
  • Hospital or physician group management experience preferred with the ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of organization
  • Client service oriented (both internal and external)
  • Demonstrated poise, tact, diplomacy, and good judgment
  • Pay Range : Expected pay range between $25.00 - $32.50 per hour. Exact pay will be determined based on candidate experience, geographical location, and size / complexity of the program being supported.
