At Franciscan, our Imaging Support Specialists are responsible for aiding technologists in patient care and schedule facilitation. This role is responsible for care aspects that do not fall under regulated roles of technologist. These aspects include preparing patients for exams, assisting patients in and out of exam rooms, cleaning and preparing the exam room, and transporting patients.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Assist technologists, as requested, throughout the procedure
• Uses proper body mechanics to move, assist with positioning, or transferring a patient.
• Uses AIDET to explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure patient safety and comfort. Communicates appropriately with the patient, staff and family members to facilitate care.
• Understand basic anatomy and physiology. Demonstrate knowledge of psychosocial consideration to provide appropriate care. Understands and applies appropriate medical terminology.
• Weekend night shift : Saturday & Sunday 7 : 00p-7 : 30a (.6fte 24 hours per week)
