GENERAL SUMMARY
The Events and Promotions Coordinator organizes and executes property special events and promotions designed to reward and enhance relationships, acquire new players, and generate additional visits.
FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT
All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Customer Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort Casino.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Designs, creates, plans, coordinates, and implements on & off property special events, promotions, and activations for Marketing Division
Ensures that these promotions provide the highest level of entertainment, integrity, professionalism, and service for our guests
Writes promotional policies and rules
Provides themes for Special Event and Promotion development
Coordinates the research, bidding, and procurement facilities, services, consultants or contractors required for successful execution of event / promotion / activation
Coordinates the advertising and direct mail associated with these events
Develops slot and table games tournaments and events reflective of a gaming environment
Ensures that appropriate representation is provided by appropriate personnel at events
Attends and works events on or off property in any capacity as needed or permitted
Coordinates the interdepartmental components of promotions / events including but not limited to securing the physical space, BEOs, notifying property through Kiicha and presentations of pertinent information
Orders and maintains all necessary in house collateral (signs, magazines, etc.) for events and promotions
Assists in proof-reading of all promotional collateral
Assist in tagging and tracking tag attachments for property promotions
Performs other job related duties as assigned
ACCOUNTABILITY : This position has no supervisory responsibilities. This position is also responsible for protecting the assets of Pechanga Resort and Casino and for maintaining and providing a positive and professional work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES
EXPERIENCE / TRAINING / EDUCATION :
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required. At least 2 years experience is required to successfully perform this job. An associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS : This position requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Excellent organization and communication skills, both verbal and written are required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS : This position requires the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY : This position requires the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS :
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class A gaming license
SKILLS / ABILITIES :
Computer skills for word processing, data, presentation and spreadsheet formats
Must be outgoing, energetic and capable of interacting with the general public in a highly professional manner
Must be flexible and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS :
Detail oriented, self-starter with ability to work independently and in a team environment
Professional demeanor
Ability to work under stressful situations
Mentally strong and able to cope with many challenges
Previous experience in the Casino and Hotel industry preferred
