Staff Accountant Opportunity

We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, you will contribute to the smooth operation of accounting processes, including managing financial records, supporting month-end closings, and assisting with reporting and compliance. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively and enhance your expertise in a shared services environment.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare accurate journal entries and perform account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Support month-end closing processes across multiple entities, ensuring timely completion of activities.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including vendor invoices and customer payments.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation to support internal and external audits.
• Assist with payroll-related entries, including reimbursements and commission data, while coordinating with HR on employee updates.
• Review and process credit card expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite or QuickBooks to enter and manage financial data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement workflow improvements.
• Prepare routine financial reports and schedules, supporting multi-entity consolidation tasks.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and assist with accounts receivable reconciliations.
