Club Freeride Head Coach

Position Summary

The University of Denver is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Club Freeride Coach to lead our Club Freeride team for the 2025-2026 season. The ideal candidate will foster a supportive disciplined and motivating environment to help student-athletes reach their full potential.

This is a non-benefited position not to exceed 1000 hours in a calendar year.

Essential Functions

• Strong knowledge of freeride operations and competition structure including judging criteria with the ability to provide feedback and guidance for athletes at varying levels.
• Active participation in course inspection supporting athletes in reviewing their lines and ensuring choices align with their abilities.
• Attending competitions to observe athletes and provide constructive feedback afterward to support ongoing development.
• Outside of competitions assisting team officers in leading larger groups around the mountain and helping with organization and coordination during a competition weekend

Hourly Range

The hourly range for this position is $20.00-$25.00.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate departmental budget availability internal salary equity considerations and available market information but not based on a candidates sex or any other protected status
