REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION ) :
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration or a human services field such as Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, Therapeutic Recreation, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Human Services (including a clinical practicum of at least one year), or a related field from an accredited college or university; AND
- One (1) year of human services-related experience
- Associate’s degree in public administration, business administration or a human services field such as Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, Therapeutic Recreation, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Human Services (including a clinical practicum of at least one year) or a related field from an accredited college or university; AND
- Three (3) years of human services-related experience
JOB DUTIES (SUMMARY) :
Engages the Hamilton County community of fathers, fatherhood practitioners, and other similarly aligned organizations in the development, implementation, and annual updating of Hamilton County’s strategic plan relative to the Hamilton County Fatherhood Collaborative; engages the Hamilton County community in marketing strategies in support of fatherhood programming throughout the county to increase awareness of services available to low-income, non-custodial fathers of Hamilton County; collaborates with other governmental organizations (e.g., the Ohio Commission on Fatherhood, Hamilton County Office of Re-entry, Hamilton County Children’s Services, Adult Probation, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Juvenile Court) as well as faith based, non-profit, and other community organizations in the development and publishing of local data that shows the impact of fatherlessness the community; develops and conducts assessments of father’s and community’s needs, issues, and barriers that impact participation in programming; develops and conducts assessments of organization’s level of father friendly practices and policies; recommends strategies to improve organizational capacity and activities relative to the needs of low-income, non-custodial fathers; provides and coordinates fatherhood training for local JFS and other organizations in the community.Under the direction of the JFS Director and JFS Customer Service Resolution Agent, presides over the Hamilton County Fatherhood Collaborative; convenes monthly meetings of the collaborative to develop strategies to assist with the development and promotion programs and services that target low-income non-custodial fathers in Hamilton County, develops technology (e.g., website, data repository, mobile apps, social media etc..) that provide easy and reliable access to information and services for fathers and fatherhood practitioners for the purpose of increasing the number of fathers in Hamilton County actively and positively involved in the lives of their children; pursues and secures funding sources necessary for the growth and sustainability of the collaborative; reports program activity quarterly to Hamilton County JFS executive team, Board of County Commissioners, and other interested parties as required; acts as primary point of contact for Hamilton County JFS management and employees for issues involving non-custodial fathers’ rights, access to services, co-parenting, child support, custody and visitation, and case planning; provides referrals to staff and fathers to community organizations to address issues confronting them; plans and implements public awareness campaigns in partnership with community and government organizations.Develop knowledge of Hamilton Counties systems and history as they relate to fathers; works with Hamilton County stakeholders to research, analyze, and develop strategies to determine the mission, vision, and goals of the collaborative; develops and implements policies and procedures that improve father identification, engagement, and involvement in all aspects of county government; creates a network of government and private organization contacts through which funding sources can be identified; determines and recommends outcome measures for programs and services; reviews and approves service contracts under the direction of the JFS Customer Service Resolution Agent; develops knowledge of legislative processes pertaining to grant writing process; writes and submits grant proposals with supporting documents to funding sources with strict guidance from county contracting and fiscal agents; maintains records and supporting documentation and progress reports on the activities of the collaborative and ongoing work with stakeholders.OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
