The Air Quality Specialist is responsible for a wide variety of air quality permitting, modeling, and compliance projects as they relate to construction permits and operating permits for minor, synthetic minor, and major sources. The position requires experience in emission inventories, emission evaluations of air pollution control equipment, dispersion modeling, and regulatory expertise in EPA New Source Review (NSR), New Source Performance Standards (NSPS), and National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP). HDR's air quality clients include a wide range of industrial manufacturing, data center, agricultural processing, energy generation, wastewater treatment, and solid waste disposal facilities. Must have a working knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and associated requirements related to the above topics in order to ensure compliance on behalf of clients and provide commensurate level of leadership within the Air Quality Practice Group.
