Chief Architect
USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24 / 7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP / SAR environments.
Responsibilities :
- Analyzes and recommends improvements to existing infrastructure and service offerings, including guidance and support in modernizing and securing networks and refactoring applications and migrating remaining data center applications to cloud.
- Work in partnership with customers to understand and participate in the development of new mission support IT strategies assessing current and future skills and technologies to support emerging mission needs.
- Makes recommendations to the customer in the shaping of the future of enterprise architecture and roadmaps for the command.
- Assesses DoD frameworks (DoDAF, UAF, TOGAF) and helps to ensure implemented use cases adhere to that framework.
- Develops "as is" and "to be" architecture and solutions focusing on scalability and extensibility.
- Assists in implementing and maintaining DevSecOps environment to ensure A&A and ATO for new systems and maturing the existing CI / CD pipeline.
- Assists in executing and maintaining enterprise Agile / SAFe activities.
