VHS is looking for a qualified Physician - Hematology Oncology.

RATE CAPS FOR SUBMISSION :

Malpractice

– Must be included in rates.

Orientation

– 295 =half the hourly / callback rate kicks in after 8 hours. “Per hour of

orientation or training beyond 8 hours”

Hourly – 590 - “Per hour not OT”

Holiday – 885 - Must be 1.5x the hourly rate. “Per holiday hour no OT”

Nightly Call

– 650 - “Per night call to hold the pager to include 2.5 hours gratis”

Holiday Nightly Call - 975 - Per night call to hold the pager to include 2.5 hours

gratis”

On Call Daily – 4100 - “Per 24 hours to include 4 hours gratis

24 Hour Holiday Call Rate - 6150 - “Per 24 hours to include 4 hours gratis

Call Back

– 590 – “Per hour of

patient contact hours after gratis hours are completed gratis prorate to MSA

terms.”

Holiday Call Back – 885 – “Per holiday hour of patient contact

hours after gratis hours are completed gratis prorate to MSA terms.”

Schedule / Availability Requirements :

Dec 1-21 may have additional gaps in 2026

Schedule : M-Th 7 : 30AM-5 : 30PM with night call then 24hr remote call coverage Fri-Sun

Facility Location : Oxnard CA

Setting : Outpatient clinic

FTE : 1.0 FTE

Duties : All aspects of Diagnosis Staging Precision Medicine symptom management and Treatment of Hematology / Oncology Patients. MD oversight for both the Oncology / Hematology clinic and Infusion Services. Infusion Center requires MD onsite for all treatments. Infusion Center provides Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Blood / Platelet transfusions Hormone therapy Antibiotic Therapy Rheumatoid Arthritis injections and Therapeutic Phlebotomies.

Required Procedures : N / A.

EMR : iKnowmed Clinic and Cerner Infusion

Support Staff : 1- clinic RN 2-MAs 2-front office clerks 1-quality analyst / billing and 3 infusions RNs. Currently have a long-term NP who works the M-F 8-5. NP covers any infusions on Fridays and the occasional Friday appt.

Reason for Coverage : Locum coming up on 1 year

Deal breakers do not present this : Ineligible or not Board Certified in Oncology and Hematology. MD must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology

Additional Details / Questions Answered by daily census : 15-21 patients Mon-Thurs shared between the MD and NP with 3 / 4 of appointments going on the MD schedule.Current call coverage : 24 / 7 each week with around 5 calls per day
