Project Manager I / Environmental QC

SUMMARY

Paragon, is seeking a Project Manager I / Environmental QC I to provide quality control reviews for Project Management Plans, Accident Prevention Plans, Data and Document Management Plans, Monthly Progress Reports for task orders, UFP-QAPPs, and Work Plans, and daily field reports.  The project is a large environmental contract for a CERCLA site at a former military installation. This role will be primarily responsible for the daily management, supervision, coordination, quality control reviews, and successful completion of project deliverables.  Additional responsibilities include managing and coordinating field efforts, training junior staff on documentation, and other project tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor quality control, safety, and efficiency for projects.
• Coordinate, supervise, and review work of assigned project personnel to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Mentor and train junior staff.
• Develop, review, and update schedules, review and track submittals.
• Manage subcontractors, assist with procurement, schedule equipment, manage the Request for Information process, and assist with project management documentation and coordination.
• Assist with responding to proposals including developing detailed cost estimates, recommending vendors and subcontractors for various projects, and discussing and obtaining appropriate quotations in coordination with the purchasing department.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.  Occasional travel for meetings or field visits may be required.

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
