Job Summary

This role involves diagnosing and repairing laptops under warranty and those with physical damage by replacing broken components with new or used working parts. Common repairs include screens, palm rests, hinges, casings, motherboards, and hard drives / SSDs. The technician will manage repair tickets, communicate with clients through a ticketing system, and escalate issues to sales, management, or tier 2 support when necessary.

Essential Functions :

  • Perform timely and accurate repairs on broken laptops.
  • Prioritize and work through assigned repair tickets efficiently.
  • Maintain daily updates on all open tickets in the system.
  • Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and meet repair quotas and quality standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and continuing education to stay current with industry trends and certifications.
  • Drive to client sites or between company locations as needed.
  • Flexible responsibilities that evolve with company priorities.

Requirements :

  • Proven experience in hardware repair for laptops and desktops.
  • Strong understanding of internal components and system architecture.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced education or technical training desired.
  • Solid foundational knowledge of IT systems and troubleshooting.
  • A+ Certification is preferred but not required.

  • Dell Technician Certifications may be required (training and certification support provided).
  • Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and a customer-first attitude.
  • Must pass a standard employment background check
  • Must be able to pass a school-specific Level 2 background screening in compliance with the Jessica Lunsford Act, if required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs consistently (e.g., PCs, servers, printers).
  • Must clear Level 2 Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Background check
