Position Summary

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close processes for corporate and / or franchise locations. This role ensures the veracity of financial data and collaborates with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate financial statements.

Position Responsibilities

• Import, review and post Daily Sales Summaries from POS systems.
• Verify cash deposits and reconcile bank accounts weekly.
• Reconcile merchant credit card sales and DSP sales to deposits.
• Review and post EDI-imported invoices daily.
• Process non-EDI vendor invoices manually.
• Ensure all transactions are categorized correctly and supported by documentation.
• Prepare Accounts Payable (A / P) Aging Reports bi-weekly.
• Record payroll summary entries and reconcile net payroll clearing accounts.
• Assist with the monthly financial close process, including making period entries and updating schedules.
• Draft, review, and prepare the period Financial Package for stakeholders.
• Support ad hoc analyses, projects, and reconciliations as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills :

Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to deadlines is essential.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced corporate environment is essential.

3+ years of experience with Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger.

A / P experience is a plus.

Familiarity with POS and accounting systems, especially Aloha POS, Restaurant365 and / or QuickBooks is a plus.

Accounting degree or related coursework is a plus.

Food and Beverage / Restaurant experience is a plus.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Compensation : $52,000.00 - $55,500.00 per year
