Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Back Office Medical Assistant for our Urgent Care Facility. The role involves checking in and out patients, taking vitals, and logging information into the EMR / EHR system (NexGen). Responsibilities also include verifying insurance and covering the front desk during the receptionist's lunch break.

Responsibilities

• Check in and check out patients efficiently.
• Take and record vital signs accurately.
• Log patient information into the NexGen EMR / EHR system.
• Verify patient insurance details.
• Cover front desk duties during receptionist's lunch breaks.

Work Environment

The position is based in an Urgent Care facility in West Covina, operating from 10 : 30 am to 11 : 00 pm as scheduled, three days a week, including weekends. The work schedule includes 12-hour shifts on an alternative work schedule (AWS). Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Covina, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00 / hr.
