job_description.job_card.job_descriptionMust have two to three (2-3) years in acute / chronic orambulatory care setting. - High School graduate or GED and completed a PCT course which should include EKG and Phlebotomy. Good computer skills as well as organizational, written and verbal skills. Telemetry certification and BLS Certification required. Experience in Acute Psychiatry preferred.-Bilingual Preferred : English / Spanish.
Overview
Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs physical care of assigned patients (i.e. grooming, feeding etc.).
Responsibilities
- Collects specimens as needed.-Assists and accompanies patients during admission or discharge.
- Performs general care activities for patients.
- Records patients’ personal care andphysical findings.
- Performs a variety of tasks and activities according to the needs of the Department.
- Performs EKG, monitors ECG telemetry equipment and Phlebotomy on Patients.
