Position Summary
The Security Concierge will provide both a safe and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. This unique, non-armed role combines basic security responsibilities with light maintenance and customer service tasks, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Security & Safety Duties :
Perform security rounds every 2 hours throughout the facility to ensure safety and monitor for unusual activity.
Lock and unlock specific doors at designated times per operational procedures.
Respond immediately to pages and alerts from the resident alert system, providing assistance as needed
Monitor the premises for safety hazards and report incidents or concerns to appropriate personnel.
Maintain a visible, professional presence at the concierge / security desk.
Resident & Visitor Support :
Greet and assist residents, guests, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
Respond to questions, provide directions, or assist with minor needs on-site.
Deliver mail and packages promptly and accurately.
Maintenance Support :
Assist with minor maintenance tasks, such as :
Addressing minor leaks (e.g., dripping faucets, small plumbing issues).
Unclogging toilets and performing simple restroom upkeep.
Handling miscellaneous small repairs (e.g., tightening screws, replacing light bulbs).
Pick up trash and maintain general cleanliness of the exterior and common areas during downtime.

Work Environment
This job operates in a post acute setting. This role requires regular walking to various locations around the facility. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. Team member is expected to adhere to facility’s no-smoking policy.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day. The employee must frequently lift and / or move items over 60 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a position in a post-acute setting that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Weekend and holiday shifts will be required.

HIPAA
Team members are required to adhere to policies and procedures implementing HIPAA requirements for the privacy and security of protected health information. Team member are permitted to use and / or disclose only minimum amount of Protected Health Information necessary to complete assigned tasks. Reports all suspected violation of company’s HIPAA policies or procedures to facility CEO.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers at all levels of the organization
Basic computer and Microsoft Application skills. Must have an ability to learn new systems
Ability to work with a culturally diverse population
Must have positive communication skills and demonstrated adequate maturity and patience
Proficient in the English language. Good communication (verbal and written), customer service and interpersonal skills.
Must have good organizational skills with attention to detail
Must be able to successfully prioritize workload, demonstrate initiative, and analyze situations to make sound decisions
Must show initiative and take action on observed needs
Self-directing with the ability to work with minimal direct supervision
Ability to be aware of surroundings at all times.
Must be able to assist residents with task while in passing and have great customer service
Required Education / Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent
A minimum of one (1) year experience in security role
