Job Description
The Traveling Superintendent will be responsible for leading on-site construction operations for large-scale, complex projects across various U.S. markets, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This individual will serve as the primary on-site representative, managing field activities from groundbreaking through final turnover. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in ground-up commercial construction, excels in managing dynamic project schedules, and is comfortable adapting to different project types and regional requirements. A strong leader and effective communicator, this person is passionate about safety, quality, and team coordination. Key Responsibilities Include :
- Lead on-site construction activities from mobilization through final completion on large-scale commercial projects
- Maintain overall site safety, enforce compliance with OSHA and company protocols, and promote a strong safety culture
- Coordinate daily operations of subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel to ensure smooth workflow
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and design teams to maintain schedule integrity and resolve field issues
- Monitor progress and perform quality control checks to ensure work meets specifications and industry standards
- Conduct daily site walks, safety meetings, and subcontractor coordination meetings
- Manage logistics, deliveries, and sequencing of work to maximize efficiency and minimize disruption
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure accurate execution in the field
- Maintain daily reports, progress photos, and documentation for internal and client-facing updates

The Successful Applicant
