LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established company in Lake Oswego, OR, to find a dedicated International Operations Specialist . This is a great opportunity to apply your logistics, compliance, and shipment coordination skills in a fast-paced global environment. In this role, you will manage international shipping operations from start to finish, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and strong communication with stakeholders.

Location : Lake Oswego, OR

Duration : 1-month contract with potential for extension

Hours / Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM

Compensation : $30–$34 / hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities :

  • Regulatory Compliance : Act as the primary contact for import / export compliance, maintaining accurate records, securing required documents, and ensuring adherence to domestic and international maritime regulations.
  • Freight & Documentation Coordination : Schedule domestic freight (FTL, LTL, and third-party), review and process international shipping documents, ensure timely ISF / AES filings, and manage inspection / survey reports.
  • Shipment Execution & Cost Management : Track shipments, resolve delays, negotiate freight and warehouse rates, and identify cost-effective transportation solutions without compromising service quality.
  • Stakeholder Communication : Provide shipment status updates to carriers, vendors, buyers, sales teams, and internal departments, while coordinating with shippers, ports, and warehouses to address issues.
  • Issue Resolution : Work with carriers, vessel operations, and import brokers to troubleshoot and resolve disputes, ensuring timely cargo movement and container drayage to North American warehouses.
  • Safety & Policy Adherence : Follow all company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements while promoting a safe and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience in international logistics, supply chain operations, or freight coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of import / export compliance and maritime regulations.
  • Proficiency in scheduling freight, reviewing documentation, and overseeing regulatory filings.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to problem-solve shipment delays and negotiate cost-effective solutions.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Pay Details : $30.00 to $34.00 per hour
