Sr. Data Analyst / Architect

Job Summary :

Works on and leads a team of database programmers, working with front-end and middle tier programmers in fulfilling data requirement needs. Determines and clearly defines problems then communicate the recommendations / solutions to team members.

Works closely with the end users and report / dashboard developers to understand their business requirements and procures data sources for tactical business problem solving. Works with project developers to integrate effective database designs. Acts as a consultant in the areas of conceptual and physical database design, development, implementation and maintenance.

Provides end-user assistance, involving analysis, identification of problem or needs, designing solutions and identifying required system adaptations. Also responsible for performing periodic system maintenance and upgrade activities that would include occasional night / weekend work.

Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or similar disciplines and 6 years experience, or associates degree and 8 years relevant experience in database development or engineering. Ability to evaluate existing data models / sources and provide guidance and direction to improve business and clinical outcomes. Estimates, writes, and tests complex program logic. Provides tuning improvements to optimize to database designs, queries, and stored procedures. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Responsible for periodic system maintenance and upgrade activities.

Candidates who possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or similar disciplines and a minimum of two (2) years relevant experience may be considered for appointment to a lower level position at a commensurate salary

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelors degree and 8 years relevant database development or engineering (preferably in a health care environment) experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Epic EMR and Caboodle data warehouse.

Work Days :

M-F 9-5 Weekends as needed
