Assistant Program Director - Milieu

Copper Hills Youth Center, located in West Jordan, Utah, is a residential treatment facility (behavioral health care) serving male and female - year olds who have been diagnosed with psychiatric disorders.

This full-time positon will focus on :

• Training and supervising Milieu Managers and Milieu Supervisors.
• Oversees unit specific training and cross-training of unit staff.
• Acts as the unit "expert" for programs such as HWC, verbal de-escalation, crisis management, milieu management, SPARCS, and facilitation of psycho-educational groups.
• Planning and facilitation of weekly and monthly staff training meetings with milieu staff, team leads, and program managers
• Participates in interviewing, hiring and supporting the development for direct care staff. Develops team building initiatives to engage staff and build a positive team dynamic.
• Will coordiante emergency situations in conjunction with Milieu Program Director.
• This position will have responsibility for being on-call periodically. This would require the ability to report to work during emergency situations and coordinating additional back up staff when necessary.
• Must maintain confidential information as they will be involved in corrective action meetings and other management meetings dealing with confidential data.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.

Mimimum of 2 years successfyk supervisory skills

Must be able to be certified in Handle With Care and Verbal De-escalation

Minimum of 2 years experience in residential supervision and training

Organizational time management

Must have demonstrated problem-solving, crisis management, and team-building skills
