Software Engineer

Our client is seeking a talented and versatile Software Engineer with expertise in both user interface development and full stack engineering. This role offers the opportunity to create modern, responsive web applications and scalable backend services in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, creativity, and a passion for delivering high-quality, user-friendly solutions.

This role can be onsite in Beaverton, Oregon or fully remote.

Software Engineer Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize responsive web applications using React and modern CSS frameworks.
  • Build and maintain backend services leveraging Node.js with databases such as MongoDB or PostgreSQL.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and fellow engineers to deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Write clean, efficient, and testable code that meets established quality standards.
  • Participate in code reviews, share feedback, and help improve development processes.

Software Engineer Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience with a strong front-end focus.
  • Proficiency in React, Node.js / JavaScript, CSS, and Python.
  • Experience with databases such as MongoDB or PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Skilled in designing and integrating RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

    • Preferred :

  • Exposure to graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, AWS Neptune, Cosmos DB) and query languages (e.g., Gremlin, Cypher, SPARQL).
  • Interest in retrieval augmented generation (RAG) and generative AI technologies.
  • Familiarity with Databricks and OpenAI API-compatible UI clients.

    • Compensation : Up to $76.67 / hr. (DOE)
