Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist 2nd Level Reviewer (Educator focused). Key Responsibilities Conduct detailed reviews of medical records and physician documentation for accuracy and compliance Provide education and training on documentation best practices and coding guidelines to healthcare providers Analyze provider performance measures and assist in identifying specific educational needs related to clinical documentation Required Qualifications BSN, PA, NP, or Doctorate degree in a medically related field is highly preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical documentation improvement role Certification in CCDS and / or CDIP; CCS is highly preferred Experience with 3M, Epic, and / or Nuance CDEOne is highly preferred In-depth knowledge of coding guidelines, ICD-10-CM / PCS, and DRG's
