UTHealth Houston's School of Dentistry is hiring for a Dental Assistant I / II to join their team of professionals in the department of Endodontics. The DA will be responsible for performing all duties required for four-handed chairside dentistry; performing infection control sterilization and instrument sterilization according to CDC guidelines; taking CBCTs / Dental Radiographs; fully stocking & maintaining inventory; and more. CPR / BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is preferred. Experience working within an Endodontics clinical setting is a plus!

Position Summary :

Perform routine tasks assisting the professional dental staff and students in the examination and prophylactic, therapeutic and surgical treatment of patients. Works under direct supervision.

Position Key Accountabilities :

Certification / Skills :

Dental Assistant Registration by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.

Basic office or computer skills.

Minimum Education :

High school diploma or equivalent.

Completion of a recognized dental assistant educational program preferred.

Minimum Experience : None.

Physical Requirements :

Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and / or up to 20 pounds frequently and / or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
