Opportunity summary : As the Maintenance Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating functions for the Maintenance Department, including assisting with inventory management & the procurement of equipment and supplies to effectively plan maintenance work projects. You will partner with the maintenance leadership team to provide recommendations to improve the Maintenance Department procurement record keeping processes and procedures.

  • Improved Planning : plans maintenance tasks in advance, ensuring technicians have the necessary parts, tools, and information before starting a job, minimizing wasted time and maximizing productive work.

  • Faster Response :  coordinator ensures a swift and organized response, getting equipment back online quickly, which is vital for operational continuity.

  • Vendor Cost Control :  Coordinators ensure favorable terms with vendors and contractors or ensures vendors bill to contract terms.

  • Bridging the Gap : The coordinator acts as a central point of contact between maintenance teams, other departments (like production or operations), and external vendors.

    • 5. Data-Driven Decision Making : Maintenance coordinator tracks key metrics, generates reports on maintenance performance, and identifies areas for improvement, supporting data-driven decision-making.

    What you need to succeed :

  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • 1 to 3 years in manufacturing maintenance environment
  • Demonstrated successful track record of effective problem-solving
  • Ability to use computer and related software programs (JDE, CMMS, etc.) to accomplish assigned tasks
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to maintain complex records and to assemble and organize data
  • Possess some mechanical acumen to proactively identify parts and tools need to the Maintenance team
  • Possess strong collaboration skills with stakeholders across functions
  • Ability to set priorities, achieve deadlines, and manage multiple tasks at the same time
  • Demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills to deliver messages to customers and WestRock employees

The salary range for this position is $55,500.00 - $92,500.00, depending on your role, level, and location. The benefits for this role may include short-term bonus incentive, health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and a number of programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work. Your actual pay will be based on your work location and other factors, such as your skills, experience, and education.
