Daikin is looking for a Sr Controller to join our team! The Sr Controller will lead Financial activities associated with bringing a new facility online (in Tijuana) and then transition to leading the Site’s Business Unit financial activities by performing the following duties personally or through accounting staff.
A Day in the Life :
Maintains, reports on, provides governance on project capital and expensesCollaborates cross functional to ensure the financial readiness at startupPrepares financial statements, other financial analysis and operating reports for complex dual sites located in TijuanaCollaborates closely with Finance Manager who manages shared services (Treasury, audit, tax, government affairs, AP, AR, Payroll, etc.)Prepares special financial and statistical reports, and analyzes unusual items or trendsPrepares the annual and long-range financial plan, and monthly financial forecastsProvides financial oversight for cost accounting and annual standards setting processes when applicableEstablishes required financial controls and monitors compliance with Finance ManagerEnsures control environment meets the standards of JSOXParticipates as part of Senior Leadership Team supporting General ManagerOversees product cost development and profit margin analysisProvides protection and control of company assetsManages working capital and maintains balance sheet integritySupervises and prepares account reconciliationsApproves and assists in preparing capital expenditure requestsEnforces compliance with Policies and Procedures and Limits of Authorityand develops accounting staffPerforms special projectsOther duties as apparent or assignedWhat’s in It For you :

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field10 years of Accounting experiencePreferred
Master’s DegreeThe typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $126,000 - $205,000 in California. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
