EVS Technician Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated EVS Technician responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of non-occupied patient rooms. This role involves deep cleaning, mattress flipping, and thorough disinfection of entire rooms. Additionally, the technician will manage linens and ensure proper disposal. Special attention is required for cleaning isolation rooms, adhering to strict safety measures including wearing a full gown and mask. The position operates during the first shift from 7 AM to 3 : 30 PM, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect non-occupied patient rooms, ensuring high standards of cleanliness.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks, including mattress flipping and thorough room sanitation.
• Handle and dispose of linens in a safe and efficient manner.
• Clean isolation rooms, following strict safety protocols and using appropriate protective gear.
• Interact with patients, nurses, doctors, and housekeeping team with excellent communication and customer service skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.75 - $18.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
