Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician

Looking to fill a need for a Cardiothoracic Surgeon in California.

Rate : 490 Hourly + Call Pay / OT Pay

Vaccination Requirement : Required with Recent Booster

Dates of Coverage : ASAP Ongoing until Vacancy filled

Setting : Hospital & Clinic

Daily Responsibilities : 1st assist in full breath of adult cardiac surgical procedures; Opening and closing of sternotomy and thoracotomy under supervision. Management of sternal wound complications. Tracheostomy, percutaneous gastrostomy tube placement, Tunneled dialysis catheter placement, chest tube placement and management, central lines, Intra-aortic balloon pump placement. Able to perform pacemakers and laser lead extractions, pericardial window : based on cardiac experience

Clinical Setting seeing patients in clinic for wound complications, consultations, minor procedures

Inpatient consultations for Cardiac Surgery service

Shifts / Schedule Expectations : Monday Friday 8-9 Hours daily

Call Schedule / Responsibilities : Call rotation 1 : 3 or 1 : 4 weekday and weekend

PPD / Census : Depends on Cases scheduled

Certifications required / accepted : Board Certified or truly Board Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgery (Minimum 1 year experience required)

Credentialing Time frame 12 Weeks from Time Application submitted
