Job Type Full-timeDescriptionJob purposeThe Patient Transporter transports patients to and from the facility in a punctual, timely and professional manner. This may include assisting patients inside and outside the facility. Please note, this position may have a flex schedule, meaning start time and / or end time may fall outside of our tradition 8 : 00-5 : 00, M-F business hours, depending on procedure schedules on any given day.Duties and responsibilities

  • Greets patients, introduces self, and provides transportation in a company owned vehicle from the patient's home to the facility.
  • Establishes and maintains communication with patients and coworkers to improve quality of service and patient satisfaction.
  • Respects and protects patient confidentiality by keeping sensitive patient information private.
  • Follows all protocols and procedures to ensure safe delivery of patients, their possessions, supplies, etc.
  • Maintains a secure and clean work environment by adhering to standards and regulations that are set forth by the facility, local and federal agencies.
  • Offers comfort and support to patients and families.
  • Presents a professional image and customer focus.
  • Cross-trains on EMR to help check in and / or scrub schedules when needed.
  • Practices teamwork by helping others willingly and communicating in a professional manner.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
  • Operates standard office equipment (e.g. copier, personal computer, fax, etc.).
  • Has regular and predictable attendance.
  • Adheres to Advanced Pain Care's Policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.RequirementsQualificationsEducation : Requires a high school diploma or GED, and current CPR or BLS certification, or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.Current driver's license and clean record is required. Experience : One or more years in a healthcare setting and / or transportation experience preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Must be able to work as scheduled - typically business hours are 8 : 00 - 5 : 00 M-F
  • Must be able to sit and / or stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to bend, stoop and stretch
  • Must be able to lift and move boxes and other items weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment, etc.Salary Description $18-22 / hour
